  • Collective Intelligence

  • Excerpt:

Collective intelligence is the ability of a group to solve problems. In nature you can find many examples of collective intelligence, e.g. insect colonies and swarms, but also trees and plants. In people’s lives technologies, and in particular the Internet of Intelligent Things, play a more and more important role. All these developments have a major impact on people in their daily lives. But also on organisations!
In an accessible way, with many examples from nature and ‘human’ organisations, this book explains what is going on and which consequences collective intelligence has for us as humans and as employers/managers. The book is written in the style of Freakonomics, Outliers, The tipping point, Black Swan, etcetera.
