Career Summary

I grew up in Kolkata, India, and spent most of my life there before coming to the Netherlands. I live in Amsterdam with my husband and daughter and teach in Leiden and The Hague.

Writing is a passion for me that has, over the last decade, extended beyond the realm of the academic. I have recently completed writing a collection of shorts; I blog about Indian cinema and write a column on contemporary Indian culture.
